Superb portrayal of a very fine Dickens novel, containing his usual mixture of folly, pride, villainy, balanced by human warmth and humour - as always, the human spirit triumphs in the end. Excellent acting by actors of all ages.

Interestingly appropriate staging for the sets. The Dombey house (and office) is dark and sterile, while the instrument shop is cozy and colourful. The casting is marvelous.
