Not good enough for me.

Not the worst book I've ever read but if you are expecting this to be anything like the rest of the SBC series, you are in for a huge disappointment. This would have been better off as a standalone book with absolutely no links back to the series as this is Science Fiction with time travel/etc... It really doesn't belong.

Having said all that, if you ignore the link to Foster's SBC series and just read it as it is, it's not bad.

Foster totally dropped the ball on this book.

After loving the other books in her SBC series this was a major disappointment. Yes, Mallet is a character in the other books, and we *briefly* see the other characters, but that's all this book has in common with the other series.

I was hoping for a contemporary romance and got badly written science fantasy instead.

Not recommended. Not even for her die-hard fans. Skip this, you won't be missing anything.
