Directed by Eric Brevig in 2008 based on the novel by Jules Verne, this American fantasy adventure delves into the world within Earth and explores the amazing inner world.
Although I can't believe the story, I enjoy the thrilling adventure to the hilt.

Like the worse 2012 sequel Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, this is intended to follow in the footsteps of the original 1864 and 1874 Verne novels they are loosely based on. Given that, I think we have to forgive some less scientific aspects and just enjoy the film as a work of fiction.

There's T-rex, and a Tinkerbell-like glowing friendly and helpful glowing bird, floating rocks, cool but nerdy uncle every kid wishes to have and a beutiful and smart guide, man this movie is fun to watch. Almost gave it 5 stars!

A man named Trevor Anderson (Brendon Fraser) finds a book that has some information about how his brother, Max, ventured on a journey somewhere and now Trevor wants to uncover the truth behind Max's disappearance. His nephew, Sean, comes to live with him for a short bit. Trevor decides to take Sean along on a journey to Iceland. Anyways, some crazy weather causes them to find themselves imprisoned in a cave along with a woman named Hannah. Here begins the journey to the center of the Earth. The interior of Earth contains creatures like dinosaurs and even floating rocks. A cool movie but a fairly inaccurate depiction of earth’s interior.

I LOVE this movie! It is VERY adventurous!!! I agree that this one is better than the 2nd one.

Good, much better then the second (personally, I found Journey to the Mysterious Island pretty stupid). But I like this one.

Trevor: Sean, if your mother asks where we went, tell her I took you to Italy!

(As they are riding up in their boat on the water) Trevor: Hold on! Hannah: Trust me, I'm holding on! (a few minutes later) Trevor: Hold on! Hannah: Stop saying that!

Trevor: [as they are climbing] Hey, look at all the schist.
Sean: What?
Trevor: It's a metamorphic rock. Green schist, white schist, mica-garnet schist...
Sean: Oh. Schist.
