Clean, family-friendly, fun movies. From a time when men were men and boys were taught to treat women like ladies. The series ran for 12 seasons (from 1960 to 1972), but, unfortunately, CLEVNET only has 2 seasons. (Maybe if patrons suggest they would purchase more seasons?) Some episodes of the 2nd season are way too silly, but do not detract from the entire season. I especially enjoyed the grandfather played by William Frawley; his no-nonsense approach to life is so refreshing in our modern PC world! (I highly advise PC viewers to stay far away from this series, by the way; I don’t know if they could survive a single episode without suffering a cardiac arrest!) Fred MacMurray was never my favorite actor, yet he is perfect as the dedicated, hard-working father. Chip Douglas makes me think of my brother when small, gallivanting about and always up to some (minor) mischief. Highly recommend it, especially to kids and teenagers, so they can how fun life can be when you really are and act like a kid!

I viewed My Three Sons (a TV Sit-Com that began in 1960) as a poor-man's "Leave It To Beaver" (which this show oftentimes seemed to imitate).

I found that, generally, the characters here were quite bland, and the scripts weak, and usually not very funny.

And, actor Fred MacMurray, as Steve Douglas, the father figure of the household, was a lousy role model, whose character, far too often, seemed unbelievably apathetic and in no way helpful when it came to the concerns of his 3 growing sons.
