I thought it was OK. Not her usual disco style, which i prefer, but her voice is still lovely.
I haven't heard anything new from Donna in a long time. I thought I would give it a try. I am very glad I did.
This is a departure from her hay-days in the 70s!
I found the songs very soulful and ballad like. It is a very smoothly produced album.
Also her guests really add to the richness of Donna's voice. I really liked Hattie Mae Blanche Dubois voice in the "Slide Over Backwards" duet. Of Course, Ziggy is lots of fun in "Crayons" the title feature. Although, my favorite is not all the songs, but her writing on who was involved and gives sort of a description of her journey to this album.
