I got this book and many others trying to learn acoustic guitar. Many books skip steps and you get confused. They are also hard to read and understand. This book is not like that. It starts at the very beginning even showing you how to pick out a guitar. It is very easy to understand and they give you pictures for everything to cut the guesswork. I very highly recommend this book to anyone that currently plays guitar and expecially to beginners. Here are the table of contents for you all.
.getting started
.your first chords
.putting it together
.lead guitar
.morelead playing
.more chords
.power chords and overdrive
.rocknroll
.barre chords
.fingerstyle guitar
.classical guitat
.the blues
.lead techniques
.rocking harder
.getting funky
.country guitar
.the world of guitar
.guitar gear
.chord reference
.practicing with scale
.index.
all these chapters are broke down into at least ten chapters within each main chapter. Even has interveiws with pro guitarists. This covers acoustic electric classical left and right handed players. AWESOME hope i helped. se

Great book. Check out the last section for a slew of typographical errors. Looks like some editor gave up too soon!
