Joe Haldeman's stories especially excel in portraying the feelings and sensations of combat experience so that even pacifists can understand something of the ordeals combat veterans have undergone. These stories, some as short as two pages, go along with and beyond his well known military stories, portraying women's as well as men's perspectives on conflict, community and betrayal. Highly recommended!
