I like Silva's bland titles which are so unlike Robert Ludlum's - understatement is the way to go. Salman Rushdie playing a game with Christopher Hitchens said if Ludlum wrote Hamlet it would be titled 'The Elsinore Vacillation.' About…

Gave up after first 45 pages. The writing style makes it difficult to follow. The author goes off on rambling tangents, leaving behind characters you at first thought might be important, overdeveloping new ones (blah, blah, blah), until…
Daniel Silva captures our attention again with this riveting political thriller that spans multiple countries. I always learn about other cultures and the corruptness in the world through his books.

The first part of this novel appeared to be written by another person. The flavor of returning characters went on a slight tangent. I certainly liked Silva's other works a lot better than this.

A good thriller, fast-paced with a tight plot - particularly the first half of the book. It bogged down for me during the second half, but still was a satisfactory read. This was my introduction to this series featuring Gabriel Allon &…

This was my first book by this author and I was completely smitten. A writer in the gender of Dan Brown, fast paced, good character development and respect for reader's intelligence to put some clues together, but still be amazed by the…

This is my second book by Silva and it proved to be just as good if not better than Fallen Angel. Loved the story lines, characters, and twists!

This is the first Daniel Silva I have read and it won't be the last. I enjoyed his characters, the humour, the political commentary and the twists and turns in the story line.
I have read every one of Daniel Silva's books and I think this is one of the best - I loved the humour and banter between Gabriel and Christopher and somehow it seemed lighter than previous books, as if Silva has given himself permission…

Daniel Silva continues to be at the top of his game in this suspenseful novel bringing back Israeli spy Gabriel Allon and his associates. The disappearance of an English woman who was having an affair with the Prime Minister draws in…
